Our client a well established funky restaurant located in Nairobi, that serves the most traditional of all Kenyan foods are looking for Waiters that will compliment their establishment

Job Purpose: To operate the outlet, under the guidance and supervision of the Assistant Manager. 

This includes meeting and greeting, taking food and drinks orders, advise on product knowledge, serve guest’s orders and build a relationship in the process so that they return.

 

Roles

• We expect that every guest in the restaurant is being granted full attention, reception and best possible care.


• That, with his/her friendly and courteous attitude, he/she supports and maintains the good reputation of the restaurant


• To be thoroughly informed on all promotions and changes in the sales-program.


• To maintain a good communication between Restaurant and Kitchen


• To build a disciplined team especially in view of strict following of service standards, closing and opening check lists, billing and cashiering procedures,


• Helps to organize the stations in terms of cleanliness and equipment


• To present correct billing to the guest and close correctly as per the cashiering procedures


• Ensure a proper and correct order taking to speed-up service and that guests are receiving correct orders.


• Actively participates in order taking, sales efforts and up selling at all times.


• Handle complaints as per company standard and if necessary involve immediate Superior


• Ensures a team spirit and working discipline

Qualifications

• MUST have a Certificate in food and beverage from Utalii College or any well recognized institution.


• MUST have experience in upmarket restaurant (at least 1 year).


• Well spoken pleasant personality and well groomed.
