We’re currently looking to fill the position of a Software Engineer.

Job Purpose: Be responsible for designing, building, testing, documenting, implementing, maintaining and supporting software systems from specific user requirements and business needs.

Software Engineer Job Key Responsibilities

• Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents.


• Perform coding to written technical specifications.


• Develop front end graphical user interface design.


• Develop back end database design and application integration.


• Investigate, analyse and document reported software defects.


• Perform maintenance programming and correction of identified defects.


• Create, document, and implement unit test plans, scripts, and test harnesses.


• Create and maintain technical documentation using defined technical documentation templates.


• Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation.


• Participate in Project Planning and Project Management.


• Constantly update technical knowledge and skills by attending in-house and/or external courses, reading manuals and accessing new applications.


• Performs related duties as assigned.

Software Developer Job Technical Requirements

At least 3 years’ experience with: Visual Basic 6 , Visual Basic .Net , C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server 2008 , Crystal Reports , XML, ADO, HTML, Web Services, SOAP, XML, JSP, AJAX, J2EE, J2ME, J2SE

Qualifications & Experience for Software Developer Job

• Degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics.


• Minimum mean grade of a B- in high school and in both Mathematics and English.


• Demonstrable Software Development experience with Windows based client/server applications and web based applications.


• Understanding of Accounting will be an added advantage.


• Knowledge of database architecture and design.


• Ability to interpret written requirements and technical specification documents.


• Ability to code software according to published standards and design guidelines.
