Furniture Manufacturer Production Manager Job in Kenya

A leading, innovative, dynamic furniture manufacturer and operating in a highly competitive market is seeking to recruit competent individual to fill the role of Production Manager.

It is located in the Industrial Area and specializes in production of a range of high quality furniture – Wood Furniture, Metal Furniture and Upholstered items.

The Company has a strong focus on international standards and the client base is spread across major Hotels, United Nations Agencies, Non – Governmental Organizations, Universities, Religious Organizations, Embassies and Kenya Government State Corporations among others.

 

Reports to the Managing Director, the Production Manager will provide leadership to the Production Team, ensue timely and efficient production of goods with focus on cost and quality in line with overall company objectives.
 

Specific the Production Manager will among others: 

• Plan and manage the production schedule/process to ensure On Time Delivery 


• Optimize utilization of resources –  Labour, Equipment & Materials  


• Lead, develop and motivate Production Team for maximum performance.


• Champion quality improvements on a continuous basis.


• Ensure implementation and adherence to Health and Safety Procedures


• Collaboration and co-ordination with other departments 

To qualify for this position, the ideal candidates should:

• Be holders of Diploma in Production Engineering / Management, have working experience and knowledge of furniture production, machines & tools, process improvement techniques and people management, 


• Demonstrate excellent problem solving, decision making, attention to detail, excellent communication skills and team work


• Have passion for innovation, customer service and quality standards
