Our client is a non-profit organization looking to hire a high-caliber, self-driven, and dedicated Grants & Reporting Officer with a commitment to excellence, he will be responsible for grant administration and reporting, maintaining an updated active grants database from post-award to closeout, providing timely and accurate data and information to support the design and development of grant proposals, and incorporating M&E data in both donor reports and grant applications in a timely fashion.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Ensure standard policies and due diligence materials are in place and up to date.

  • Support Donor Audits and social findings for action, in conjunction with the Grants and Impact Manager and Chief Finance Officer.

  • Ensure compliance with donor regulatory compliance requirements per Grant & Grant Organization.

  • Support the development of proposal bids for institutional funders, and take the lead on some dedicated bids, as assigned.

  • Support in the development of departmental, project, and organization work plans and budgets.

  • Review contract documents, create grant summary sheet; facilitate start-up workshops for implementing to socialize all compliance requirements, advising finance team on restrictions.

  • Co-ordinate, collates, and provides technical and financial reports (in donor-required formats) on institutional grant funds to ensure reporting compliance with respective funder rules and regulations.

  • Coordinate grant close-out activities including final reporting, asset inventory, and records storage.

  • Support the finance team to clarify project/grant allocations and understand donor analysis and project expenditure status reports.

  • Manage contractual relationships with sub-awardees to ensure smooth implementation and effective coordination.

Qualifications:


  • Hold a university degree in a relevant field, a post-graduate degree is an added advantage.

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience working with NGOs in Africa and grants management.

  • Be knowledgeable of the project management cycle, monitoring, and evaluation.

  • Understand Sales force as a CRM tool for donations and fundraising.

  • Have solid financial management, budgeting skills, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Understand donor regulations and the ability to analyze and interpret information.

  • Be highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

  • Espouse the ability to work effectively with a culturally diverse team.

  • Have advanced computer literacy (especially knowledge of MS Office 365 including One Drive and SharePoint, analysis in Excel spreadsheets, CRM systems particularly Sales force, etc).
