Agronomists
2 positions
Qualifications & Experience:
BSc or MSc Degree in Agriculture with a strong bias in crop protection and soil science.Minimum 5 years experience in Agrochemical Field Trials involving designing and developing experiments. Should have local knowledge of East African crops and soils.Must be conversant with the necessary procedures and protocols including safety and efficacy and have good knowledge of regulatory compliance (GLP / official recognition) that govern official field studies and reporting protocols.Demonstrate detailed understanding of critical phases of field studies (site location, applications, assessments and / or samplings) in accordance with the requirements of the study plan.Knowledge in setting up and managing field trials in a wide variety of crops and conditions, including greenhouses according to stringent technical and quality guidelines – GEP/GLP – is essential.Computer literate - good report writing and data handling skills are required.Must be motivated and enthusiastic, able to work on own initiative and as part of a team when required.Excellent communication skills - able to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and technical development staff at all levels.Be at least 28 years of age.Possession of a valid driving license and a passport will be an added advantage.Senior Laboratory Analysts

Qualifications & Experience:
BSc Degree or HND in Analytical Chemistry /Biochemistry.Minimum 4 years experience in a busy pesticides residues analysis laboratory using high end GC-MS and LC-MS techniques.Demonstrate detailed understanding of modern chromatography techniques and have extensive knowledge of chromatographic sample preparation in food, water and soil matrices.Ability to perform routine Gas & Liquid Chromatography - Mass Spectrometry analyses, as well as perform routine maintenance on instrumentation.Good interpretation of GC-MS /LC-MS data and processing of results. The ability to interpret data for field studies and research work will be essential for these positions.Deliver thorough applications solutions for various samples preparation with GC-MS/ LC-MS and detection methods.Demonstrate clear knowledge of GC-MS/LC-MS Quality Control and acceptance criteria in the laboratory analysis processes.Develop applications and validate data to improve proficiency in testing new and existing samples in support of field studies.Be familiar with local and international test methods for trace elements and residue analysis in environmental work.Have a good understanding of experimental designs and be well-versed in the scientific method of cross data correlation and interpretation techniques.Good knowledge of ISO 17025, ISO 9001:2008, Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) systems and quality control processes with a strong bias in statistical quality control.Good skills in procedure writing, data interpretation and report writingTeam player with good interpersonal and communication skills.Be at least 28 years of age.Vehicle Inspectors

Qualifications & Experience:
