The Regional Savings-Led Technical Advisor (RTA) for the Africa Great Lakes/ East Africa region will provide support to World Relief’s savings-led microfinance programs in Kenya and Rwanda and its partner savings-led program in Burundi.
The RTA works under the supervision and strategic guidance of the headquarters-based Savings-Led Technical Advisor in the Economic Development Unit (EDU).
Provide technical assistance to country and program management staff in Rwanda, Kenya and BurundiConduct trainings with program-level staff in areas of savings-led program implementation and managementMonitor and ensure that World Relief savings-led programs implement best practices and adhere to World Relief’s savings-led standards of implementation.Support development of program proposals, in collaboration with country-level staff and WR HQ technical and marketing teams.Work with EDU to research and develop lessons-learned documents on innovations, impact, and best practices.Work with EDU to mentor and advise program staff on appropriate engagement of savings activities in and with local churches.Prepare and submit ongoing reports on program performance.Represent World Relief at regional industry events, trainings, and among donor agencies.
