Position: Development Projects Coordinator
Reporting to: Deputy Country Director/Head of Programs

Start Date: July 2011
Nature of Contract: One year – renewable
Key Responsibilities
Manage implementation of development projects ensuring compliance with monitoring and evaluation requirements.Work with partners in identifying new project opportunities and developing proposals.Review partner budgets, expenditures, advances request and financial reports ensuring compliance with FTC and donor requirements and regulationsProvide technical assistance in training and implementation of projects activities to various partners.Design and conduct needs assessments as part of project development processMaintain excellent relations with communities, partners and donors.Liaise closely with relevant ministries and other agencies implementing projects in target areas to promote a coordinated approach.A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a development related areaA Master’s Degree will be an added advantageAt least five years’ experience in designing and implementing development projectsFluent in English and Swahili both written and oral.Experience in training adults using participatory learning methodologiesProven effective representation skills to varied stakeholders and partnersAbility to work well with others and with minimum supervision.Excellent analytical and computer skills (Microsoft office).Demonstrated excellent writing skills for donor and internal reportsEmail applications including cover letter, CV and contact details of at least three referees should be submitted to the email address given below by Friday 15th June 2011.
