Purpose: To support the HR Manager in the delivery of services to functional departments. Provide day-to-day administrative support for the Industrial Relations / Employee Relations.
Reporting To: Regional HR Manager
Location: Turkana
Scheduling all Employee disciplinary meetings, exit interviews, and other meetings as assigned.Participating in Disciplinary Committee meetings and completes detailed and accurate notes of all proceedings.Maintaining spreadsheets of all submission received as well as approval status or issues. Drafting communication materials to the organization in support of the terms and conditions of work as defined in the Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs).Administering employee incentive programs and engagement activities.Preparing all documentation related to employee terminations and resignations, disciplinary actions, etc.Facilitating terminal payments with Payroll and Regional HR.Conducting exit interviews with staff and identifies any negative trends. Able to determine if corrective action may retain valued staff. Makes recommendations to supervisor as appropriate.Drafting responses to industrial relations issues such as employee complaints, harassment, allegations, and/or other actions as assigned.Qualifications and Personal Attributes Minimum of a Degree or Certificate in Human Resources, Business Administration or any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform job duties may be considered4-6 years’ experience in HR Management.Creative, self-motivated, proactive, innovative and confidentExperience managing a diverse team and strong willingness to build capacity of local staffKnowledge computer skills, using office software such as Excel, Word and Power PointStrong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skillsTrust worth and ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential informationInterested candidates who meet the above criteria should submit their online application clearly detailing their suitability for the position on or before 19th April 2014 at http://goo.gl/T8sryH.
