Data Analyst Job Description

Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reportsDevelop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data qualityAcquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systemsIdentify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data setsFilter and “clean” data, and review computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problemsWork closely with management to prioritize business and information needsLocate and define new process improvement opportunitiesMinimum 1 year of experience in a busy business environmentKnowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets (SPSS, SAS etc)Excellent skills in Excel and Access, SQL is an added advantageStrong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracyAdept at queries, report writing and presenting findingsBS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics or relevant credentialsStrong Communication and interpersonal skillsCPA Part II is an added advantageA generous and competitive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate/s.
