Position Function: To serve as a resource person and career advisor to students, pre-college students, university students and employed professionals seeking to change careers.Interpret assessment tests and assist clients in identifying their areas of interest and careers that would be suitable for themHelp clients draw up action plans for subject selection, education, employment and training and support them to achieve these goalsResearch careers, options and support organizations to meet clients needsAdvice clients on how to source relevant training courses or qualifications and what funding might be availableRun small group sessions or larger presentations on all aspects of careers work and topics related to personal developmentDevelop and conduct career planning and professional development seminars within assigned territoryAssist with the planning and implementation of educational programs and career conferencesResearch and write career literature; provide fresh web content related to careersAdvise students on internship, and post-graduate employment opportunities and strategies for career success.Create, schedule, conduct and evaluate career programming on a variety of topics to include but not limited to: CV writing, interview techniques, social media and the job search, and professionalismConduct regular outreach efforts including workshops and presentations; create, maintain and enhance relationships with institutions and hiring employers in the market increasing DYC visibility through institutional and corporate presentations and events.Academic / Professional Qualifications &Work ExperiencePossession of a Bachelor degree in a related discipline from a recognized UniversityRelevant professional certification is an added advantageKnowledge of psychometric test interpretation will be an added advantageCreative and innovative team playerExcellent analytical, planning, research and report-writing skills are requiredInterested candidates should send their applications to jobs@discoveryourcareer.co.ke before end of day April 9th, 2014. These should include a current CV, application letter, and scanned copies of academic certificates.
