Project Summary:


Through the Kenya Support Project (KSP), MSI/Kenya works to support and strengthen the current USAID/Kenya strategy in meeting day to day information needs to facilitate informed program management decisions and to provide substantive support with qualitative, quantitative, and analytical information to assist in continually assessing and evaluating the Mission’s development hypothesis. It also assists the Mission with its public education goals by providing qualitative and anecdotal evidence on the effects of projects on the lives of individual beneficiaries.


Position Summary:


This short-term technical assistance (STTA) position supports copy editing on a variety of reports, desk reviews, and evaluations for the Kenya Support Program. Topics covered range across sectors, including democracy and governance, education, economic development and monitoring and evaluation. This is not a fulltime position.


Responsibilities:


  • Copy edit documents, including evaluation reports, desk reviews, past performance reports, and annual reports, publications, etc. on a variety of international development topics.

  • Format report and ensure consistency with USAID branded reporting requirements.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor‘s degree in Writing, English, or related field.

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience editing for an international development organization.

  • Knowledge of the Associated Press (AP) style guide.

  • Exceptional writing proficiency and command of English language.

  • Strong ability to pay attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of USAID branding guidelines.
