You Will Ideally
Establish and maintain a good working relationship with all Front Office colleagues and other departments such as Housekeeping, Room Service, Engineering, Sales, etc. to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
To be completely familiar and adhere with the hotel procedures, policies and Service Standards related to guest service.
To be completely aware of the brand and marketing programmes and to be familiar with InterContinental Nairobi product knowledge.
To be fully aware of Fire Safety procedures and evacuation plan.
Performs duties with a strong understanding of how those duties impact on guests and colleagues.
To ensure correct application of room rates and correct postings of all guest charges
Responds to guest/colleague requests courteously and professionally, with interest, urgency and care.
Flexibility in being open and receptive to new ways of working.
Treats every guest interaction as an opportunity to delight the guest and make their stay in our hotel memorable.
Resolve guest problems.
To ensure guest safety and security at all times.

Qualifications
Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management
Passion, commitment, high drive, excellent team player and positive attitude
Excellent communication skills, written and oral with proficiency in English
Ability to work irregulars hours, late evenings and weekends when appropriate
Computer literate – Opera, Word and Excel
Minimum 2 year hotel experience in the same position
