The National Fund for the Disabled of Kenya is an endowment Fund
established under the Perpetual Succession Act Cap 164 of the Laws of
Kenya.
Our mission is to offer best support to persons with
disabilities in Kenya through provision of resources, promotion of
awareness and advocacy of appropriate policies.
We seek to engage suitably qualified personnel for the following position:
Position: Assistant Manager – Advocacy, Publicity &
Fund Raising
This position is on a permanent and pensionable basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Executive Officer carry out the functions under Advocacy, Publicity and Fund Raising.
- Research on donor requirements.
- Write proposals to potential donors.
- Prepare fund raising concept papers.
- Research on areas that require lobbying and prepare concept papers on advocacy issues.
- Liaise with the media and other stakeholders for a good corporate image of the Fund.
- Any other duties, which may be assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A degree holder in Communication.
- Training in Project/Programme Design, Planning and Management
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of the rights of the disabled
- Ability to write proposals.
