The university is looking for highly motivated, qualified, experienced and reputable team players to fill the following positions.

Vice Chancellor
 

Requirements for the position

• At least ten (10) years in senior academic and management positions ¡n a university and an outstanding internationally recognized record of scholarship and academic leadership


• Should have attained a distinguished leadership track record in academic administration and management.


• Wide experience in University administration


• Ability and proven experience in fundraising, resource mobilization and development in similar institutions.


• Ability to forge strategic partnerships and linkages with the government, business, development partners, and the wider community.


• Meet the requirements of chapter six of the constitution on leadership and integrity; and


• Have a demonstrable experience in transformative and strategic leadership.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Mobilize and negotiate for financial resources


• Forge strategic partnerships and linkages with the government, businesses, development partners and the wider community.


• Build a dynamic and motivated management team


• Improve academic standing of the University


• Provide visionary leadership

Chief Finance Officer
 

Requirements for the position

• An MBA from a recognized University in a relevant field such as Accounting or finance.


• Fifteen (1 5) years relevant experience, at least 7 years as Senior Accountant or equivalent.


• Holder of a CPA (K).


• Registered member of ICPAK or an equivalent Accounting body.


• Practical experience of ICT is mandatory at this level, which should include QuickBooks system


• Consistently demonstrated outstanding qualities for leadership, coordination and organization capabilities at management level.

Skills, experience and competencies

• Ability to work at the main campus in Kibos, Kisumu, providing strategic leadership to the finance and operations teams, good communication within the teams, demonstrated experience in managing staff, relationships and institutional resources.


• Adept in multi-tasking, dealing with complexities of institutions and relationships and in seeking and providing clarity to


• Demonstrated outstanding qualities for leadership, coordination and organization capabilities at management level


• Experience working with donors and knowledge of statutory requirements
