Job Vacancy: Assistant Operations Manager / Fresh Food Production

Job Purpose: Our client is a Food chain production company.  A vacancy has arisen for Assistant Manager Operation. 

The position is responsible for providing support and supervision of fresh food production for various clients.
 

Location: Nairobi
 

The role will involve the following responsibilities:

• To manage operations and production of Fresh Foods by coordinating the central Kitchen


• To achieve KPIs including cost targets, service levels and delivery targets.


• To lead the operations and production team to ensure effective manufacture, purchasing and dispatch of all products to customers within specific standards and schedules required


• To manage the operation and production team including recruitment, selection, training, development, performance management and succession planning.


• To manage overall costs including equipment efficiencies, waste, direct labour and materials.


• To manage production planning, forecasting, purchasing and stock control.


• To maintain and improve performance of the unit on a continuous basis including cost analysis and monitoring of processes.


• To represent the company on a daily basis with all external/internal communication with customers


• To work with the production team to develop and grow the business


• To generate reports across KPIs and financial targets


• To visit suppliers and customers to ensure quality levels are met


• The job holder will supervise Safety and Food Hygiene, ensuring there is strict compliance with all legislation

Job Specification
 

The candidate should have the following minimum qualifications:

• A diploma in Hospitality management / Food production or related field.


• Three (3) years’ experience in a Food production / hospitality environment a must


• Thorough knowledge of food industry and Fresh food production a must.


• At least two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory role.


• Qualification with Utalii College an added advantage
