Sales Manager

Responsibilities
The Manager of Sales & Marketing will work with the Sales & Marketing team on a day to day basis, with support and expertise provided by the wider teams, namely Specialty, Client Service and Broking.
Located in Kenya, reporting to the Head of Sales & Marketing for, the position responsibilities are as follows:
- Responsible to grow ‘New’ sales in the Commercial segments
- Actively search for new clients by developing leads through cold calls, following up on direct marketing, attending networking events and convert leads to sales opportunities
- Execute Local Market Plans and develop a pipeline of opportunities in the Commercial business segment, with full responsibility for converting those prospects to clients
- Develop opportunities by demonstrating risk and insurance expertise and ability to help solve clients’ problems
- Engage with all internal local and regional teams to bring the best of BTL, and in particular work closely with the Commercial and Broking teams
- Manage responses to quotations and tenders and develop quality presentations as needed, working with the relevant in country and regional expertise
- Help facilitate cross-selling activities as directed by supervisor
- Follow the BTL sales process, including regular sales activity, accurate pipeline updates and branding standards
- Contribute, as required, to ARS Kenya initiatives in general, providing constructive challenge and implementing as agreed
- Performing other duties and tasks as reasonably assigned by your supervisor.

Desirable skills
- University degree and/or a professional qualification
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the general insurance industry
- Proven record of sales success
- Strong computer/systems literacy including first class Word and PowerPoint skills.
