Head of Project and Design 
 

Reporting to COO

Job Purpose:

 To ensure customer requirements are met with

effective solutions for every application required.

Ensure the projects are effectively

and efficiently managed within budgeted costs and deliver quality and required

standards delivering within time lines.  

• Manage Pre-sales Engineering process,
  
  corresponding with the sales manager to ensure all incoming pre-sales jobs
  
  are handled with required responsiveness


• Ensure all the Pre-sales engineering jobs lead
  
  to a technical proposition that is best fit for each customer’s
  
  application. And has all the output documentation required to move to the
  
  project stage.


• Manage technical assistance to the sales team
  
  at works negotiation and closure points


• Takes charge of all customer implementations,
  
  managing the works of the field engineers and ensuring all projects are
  
  delivered within defined quality, costs and timelines.


• Ensure there is collaboration between field
  
  engineers and customer teams to facilitate timely deadlines for the
  
  defined projects


• Ensure the correct field logs are properly
  
  filled and adequately reported by the field staff capturing all the
  
  necessary details to aid in making strategic decisions.


• Ensure all the documents to do with all the
  
  organization’s projects are in order to ensure accountability and
  
  ownership by the field teams.



• Project Risk management, Management of site
  
  Safety and health, Environmental and upholding the code of ethics.

• A BSc in Engineering, Telecoms, Computer
  
  Science or related field.


• CCNP, CCDA Certified


• Should be certified Project Management
  
  Professional.


• A certificate/diploma in sales and OSHA
  
  training will be an added advantage.


• A minimum of 5 years progressive experience in
  
  the telecommunication sector,
