Electrician
Location: Nairobi

Salary: Kshs. 40,000 – 45,000
Our client, an International company that deals with construction equipment, power generation equipment, pumping solutions and workshop equipment is looking for a qualified electrician, with a background in generator and pump installation, including general electrical works.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain generators, pumps, and lighting systems
- Inspect electrical components, such as generators and pumps
- Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices
- Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools
- Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code
- Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring or equipment
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
- Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
Qualification and Experience
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the field.
- Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be ERC Compliant and have valid certification
- Self-driven personality with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must have knowledge on making short reports of work done. (reporting system)
- Must be very confident.
