Job Title: Sales Engineer
Department: Irrigation
Supervised by: Branch Manager
Duty Station: Nakuru
Role Objective / Summary
- Marketing of irrigation systems (overhead and drip irrigation) green house covers and structures.
- Innovation and implementation of new ways of irrigation which are cost effective and efficient in use.
- Direct sales of irrigation equipments
- Design of drip and overhead irrigation systems
- Supervision of on-going projects
- Assist in follow up of debts initiated by self
- Co-ordinate with stores department for supply and delivery of goods to our customers on time.
- Assist all customers with the view of acquiring and capturing sales
- Fully develop assigned irrigation markets and products
- Prepare annual budgets which will be an integral part of irrigation and GNS annual budget.
- Prepare weekly sales plans and forward to irrigation manager
- Ensure all sales are within approved profit margins
- Maintain the set sales margins for all products
- Any other duties assigned to you
The successful candidate should have the following qualifications and skills:
- A University degree or diploma in Engineering disciplines like Water, Civil and Agricultural Engineering specialties
- Any further qualification in Sales would be an added advantage
- At least 5 years experience in Engineering and Sales management
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
- Willingness to travel and work in a local, regional and global market set up
- Proven leadership and ability to drive sales and manage teams
- Posses excellent verbal and written communication skill to prepare proposals and tactfully and decisively manage clients, suppliers and other third-parties
- Driven and able to motivate others; providing creative and innovative solutions to internal and external clients
Job Title: Technician
Department: Agriculture
Supervised by: Branch Manager
Duty Station: Nakuru
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all Agricultural projects handled by him will be implemented in accordance to the laid down Schedule, Cost, Quality, Risks and Scope leading to customer’s satisfaction.
- Coordination of site activities and plans as per agreed project plan with the Branch
- Manager/the office.
- Documenting Project activities while on site, sending reports to the Branch Manager and communicating with the client on a need basis.
- Interpretation of technical drawings and manuals for projects allocated to him.
- Assist Sales team in technical presentations and any technical issues in his areas of strength.
- Assist the Branch Manager in Commissioning and handing over of all projects in conjunction with the other technical team members
- Ensure quality standards set by the department are adhered to which encompasses technical aspects
- Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the Branch Manager and or his assigns from time to time.
The successful candidate should have the following qualifications and skills:
- A University degree or diploma in Engineering disciplines like mechanical and Agricultural Engineering specialties
- Must have at least 3 years hands on experience in Agricultural machinery repair
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
- Must have a valid driving license
- Willingness to travel and work in a local, regional and global market set up
- Proficient in the use of MS Office 2000, Internet and E-mail
