Manufacturing Company Supply Chain Officer Job in Kenya (100K)

Our client, a dynamic Manufacturing Company, whose core business is distribution of automotive batteries, solar systems installations, backup systems installation, solar water heating and wind energy systems installations is looking to recruit a Supply Chain Officer. 

The ideal candidate MUST have 3 years work experience.

Key Responsibilities;

• Lead the supply chain function within the company.


• 100% component stock availability while minimizing working capital.


• Continuous landed material cost reduction.


• On time deliveries to customers.


• Monthly, quarterly and annual delivery of sales versus company targets.


• Timely & correct reports & information are provided.


• Lead the supply chain team, both purchasing and customer service.


• Ensure implementation & adherence to all purchasing & supply procedures.


• Drive continuous cost reduction of landed material costs.


• Ensure proper management of duty & VAT exempted imports.


• Arrange for smooth deliveries and export documentation.


• Ensure production planning & actual are in line with customer deliveries.


• Manage customer & supplier communication on documentation  and deliveries.


• Manage the supply chain team, ensuring they operate within all company policies and guidelines.


• Identify training needs, conduct staff competence / performance appraisals and recommend requisite training.


• Carry out annual appraisals of all your subordinates along the company documented guidelines.  


• Ensure staff safety and welfare in the workplace within the department while keeping up 6S & Kaizen.


• Motivation and maintenance of morale amongst employees.


• Maintenance and enforcement of discipline.


• Enhance personal supply chain skills through internal and external methods.


• Participate in any other duties that shall be reasonably assigned by management.

Qualifications;

• Graduate in supply chain or finance. 


• Minimum of 5 years work experience.


• Aged  28- 32 years.

Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 100,000/= (Approx. 1,000 USD)
