Position Overview: Manage operations relating to all imports and exports

transactions, transport logistics and distribution (where applicable) etc. in a

timely and cost effective manner.
 

Key

Responsibilities

 

Managerial 

/Supervisory

• Ensure
  
  legal compliance to customs and other contractual laws and regulations to
  
  protect the company from penalties/ extra charges and other unnecessary
  
  non-compliance procedures.


• Assist
  
  to develop, administer and regularly review supplier contracts and service
  
  Level agreements (SLAs) to ensure that suppliers meet key performance
  
  indicators (KPIs) and other expectations to maintain high level operations
  
  efficiencies.


• Recommend
  
  team training and development needs to achieve continuous team and
  
  individual growth.


• Set,
  
  track and review individual and team objectives to ensure achievement of
  
  departmental PMS goals.


• Ensure
  
  team adheres to set processes, procedures and quality standards for timely
  
  customer service delivery.


• Daily
  
  supervision of logistics team to ensure compliance to company policies and
  
  guidelines as per employee handbook.


• Coordinate
  
  review of internal service level agreements and standard operation
  
  procedures to enhance proper understanding of expectations.


• Assist
  
  to prepare departmental budget.


• Assist
  
  to promote environmental health and safety (EHS) standards and practices
  
  for safe staff and work place through ensuring strict adherence to EHS/
  
  ANZEN policies.


• Prepare
  
  and maintain leave schedules per HR expectations.

Operational

Responsibilities

• Assist
  
  to approve of tax payment requests, insurance premiums/ claims and
  
  purchase orders for prompt service delivery in the absence of or upon
  
  request by the manager.


• Assist
  
  to approve supplier invoices for accurate and prompt suppliers payments in
  
  the absence of or upon request by the manager.


• Check
  
  daily status reports to ensure KPI achievement of the company.


• Assist
  
  team to resolve day to day operational issues to meet customer needs.


• Keep
  
  up to date with industry changes in regulations and communicate all
  
  changes to relevant divisions.


• Assist
  
  to coordinate regular structured review meetings with all the divisions to
  
  manage internal relationships.

• Degree
  
  in business related field


• CIPS/
  
  Diploma in Logistics,  Clearing and Forwarding, Supply chain
  
  management or related field


• Four
  
  years of work experience in a similar position one of which should be in a
  
  supervisory role


• 28-31
  
  years
