Position: Sales Account Manager
Reporting to: The Managing Director
Responsible for: All company Product Sales
Duties
- Correct image and representation of the company in a dignified form towards customers
- Continuous improvement of the product range and the image of the company
- Contribution to the optimal economic success of the company with rational use of operating resources
- Integration and use of Yield Management in daily sales
- Practical implementation of sales targets
- Customer oriented approach to acquire and retain satisfied customers
- Develop the Kenyan market for the company in a strategic manner with a view for greatest market-share and sustainable business operation
- Develop and execute the overall strategic plan by establishing effective working relationships with clients, franchisees, distributors, and staff, suppliers and outsourcing partners.
- To ensure that the company engagements in the marketplace are profitable and competitive
- Know in detail all the products that the company offers
- Ensure company affords a customer- friendly environment and that staff are pleasant, courteous, efficient and professional at all times, taking account of the established service standards and management guidelines
- Correct image and representation of the company in a dignified form towards customers and negotiating partners
- Management of targets, forecasts, inventory, sales and cost-of-sales
- Market Knowledge and Intelligence gathering, Analysis and Action Planning
- Customer-focused sales and marketing activities
- Setting his/her individual sales targets with the Managing Director and monitoring of the results.
- Apt knowledge of all systems and processes
- Ensure a strong work ethic in a friendly environment so as to achieve efficiency and effectiveness in assigned duties
- Support, supervise and train all staff in providing an optimal service to all guests, taking account of the established standards
- Achieve/succeed the revenue and profit targets
- To convert all revenue into collected cash within the shortest, agreed timescale through managing the credit control function in a diligent and professional way
- To ensure the highest standards of quality in all aspects of the operation, guaranteeing that operating standards are never compromised
- To oversee the contracting, adherence to contracts, and day-to-day operations ensuring that all franchises adhere to set and agreed standards or service
- To ensure that all stock and supplies are ordered and delivered against clearly defined specifications and within or better than agreed budget limits
Qualifications & Skills
- Preferably a University Graduate in Business Management, Commerce, Business, Economics or other related studies.
- Diploma or College Certificate in Sales or Sales & Marketing
- At least 2 years Business Development Management or related experience and at least 5 years in a Sales, Business Development, Sales or other key Business Management Role
- Experience in Water Treatment & Testing Equipment, Design, Installation or other Related Field is an added Advantage
- Team Management Experience
- Contracting, Negotiation, Target Setting, Budget Creation and Statistical Analysis Experience
- Excellent Interpersonal and Customer Care Skills
- A mature, presentable and focused professional
