Responsibilities
·
As part of the BBC, to undertake the
full range of duties as a motion graphic designer for on the day output as well
as planned events.
·
To work directly with producers, 3d
designers and VizRT programmers (based in London) to create broadcast and
multiplatform graphics.
·
To be in regular contact with the
Visual Journalism team in London with the Senior Design
·
Manager & Senior Designers able
to advise on correct use of the BBC Brand. To feedback on local issues is key
to driving improvements & developments for the Delhi programmes output.

To research and prepare material in
support of new design concepts and create working drawings storyboards and
layouts for evaluation and presentation purposes.

To liaise with the production and

To act as the Director’s
representative on the studio floor co-ordinating programme presenters,
contributors and staff so that discipline is maintained and all safety
regulations are strictly observed during rehearsal, recordings and
transmission.

To ensure that contributors, artists
and guests are made-up and ready on the set when required, including providing
presenters with microphones and talk back boxes as required.

Senior Broadcast Journalist
Responsibilities
·
To develop and deliver distinctive,
significant investigations and current affairs documentaries (30min and 1 hour)
which achieve high levels of impact and appreciation amongst African audiences.
From the development of ideas, through the creative process of gathering
material, to the editing and delivery of outstanding content.
·
To work with the investigations unit
to develop impactful investigative stories by effectively managing a large
contact list of contributors as well as help local freelance and BBC Africa
staff develop ideas to be made into documentaries and digital documentaries
