Animal Health Assistant III J.G ‘G’ Job at the County Government of Siaya (3 positions)

Responsibilities
This entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a more experienced officer.
Duties and responsibilities will entail: –
- carrying out simple treatment of animals;
- participating in disease search and reporting;
- demonstrating on milking techniques and external parasite control;
- techniques such as dipping, spraying and dusting;
- carrying out vaccination;
- undertaking closed castration, dehorning, de-worming, disbudding, docking, debeaking and hoof trimming.
Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: –
- Kenya Certificate of secondary School (KCSE), mean grade C- or its equivalent,
- Attended a two (2) Certificate in Animal Health Environmental Health, Animal Health and Production from a recognized institution
- be registered by the Kenya Veterinary Board
- Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution.
Additional Requirements

- Tax compliance certificates
- Clearance from HELB where necessary
- Clearance from the Ethics and anti- corruption commission
- Clearance from the CRB.
- Certificate of Good Conduct from the police
