RE: TD/03/11/2021: TECHNICIAN SS BA 2 -BA 3  (3 POSITIONS) Mazeras 1, Sauti 2

The Role:

The job holder will be responsible for manning transmission control rooms, OB transmission sites and studios, assisting in carrying out of preventive and corrective maintenance and installation of radio or television broadcast equipment in the studios or transmitting stations.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Operating broadcast equipment in studios, control rooms and OB sites and transmitting stations


• Assisting in resolving of transmission discrepancies


• Carrying out preventive maintenance on equipment as per schedule


• Assisting in corrective maintenance of equipment


• Assisting in equipment installations and alignments in the transmitting sites and studios


• Monitoring the quality of signal in the control rooms, studios /OB sites or transmitters


• Entering occurrences in the technical services daily log.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Telecommunication or related field


• Membership to registered and regulated professional body is essential


• Must be computer literate


• Telecommunication Technician certificate.

Minimum Experience

• At least two (2) years of work experience (Bachelor’s degree) / three (3) years work experience (Diploma)

• Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority
