TRANSPORT OFFICER II, JOB GROUP ‘CPSB 10’ (J) THREE (3) POSTS

Requirements for appointment



  • A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in a specialized discipline Business Management Economics, Social Science or related fields

  • Served in a similar or in an equivalent position for cumulative period of two years as transport officer in the public service

  • A Certificate in Fleet Management or its equivalent from a recognized institution.


Duties and Responsibilities



  • Maintain all fleet related records and documents and ensure the safety of vehicles for the Ministry of Health

  • Management of Ministry of Health vehicles

  • Undertaking the inspection of vehicles for evidence of misuse, damage or mechanical malfunctions

  • Providing input for the preparation of annual budget and strategic plan in regard to transport in the Ministry of Health

  • Supervising drivers

  • Tracking vehicles and fuel usage and consumption rate and ensure potential or problems or fuel misuse are reported to the Chief Officer

  • Providing input for the preparation of annual budget and strategic plan in regard to transport section

  • Supervising drivers.

  • Tracking vehicles and fuel usage and consumption rate and ensure potential or problems or fuel misuse are reported to the Chief Officer

  • Ensuring that drivers have up to date and proper driving licenses.
