Our client is in the Mining, Construction industry and seek to hire a qualified and competent General Manager to provide strategic input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization as well as the daily management of the company inclusive of operations, customers, governmental bodies, and communities.


Key Responsibilities



  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, permits, lenders, grant providers, etc. as applicable.

  • Develop strategies, visions, and ambitions for the company.

  • Provide strategic input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.

  • Analyze and make recommendations on the impact of long-range growth initiatives, planning, and introduction of new strategies and regulatory actions.

  • Delegation of authority to subordinates to achieve company deliverables, review, and approval.

  • Identify and report significant, commercial, financial, legal, and personnel issues, and develop appropriate measures to address these.

  • Communicate effectively and establish credibility throughout the organization and with the Board of Directors as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.

  • Deliver cost-effective and efficient business processes and organizational structure to facilitate optimum performance. 

  • Act as a strategic advisor and consultant offering expert advice on contracts, negotiations or business deals that the corporation may enter into.

  • Optimize the handling of banking relationships and work closely with CFO to foster and grow strategic financial partnerships.

  • Daily management of the company inclusive of operations, customers, governmental bodies, and communities.

  • Act as a strategic partner by developing and implementing the company’s plans and programs.

  • Plan, develop, implement and direct the organization’s operational and fiscal function and performance.

  • Identify and report significant, commercial, financial, legal, and personnel issues, and develop appropriate measures to address these.

  • Work with the finance team to develop a solid cash flow projection and reporting mechanism, which includes setting a minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
