Intern
– Design Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (DMEAL)
Key Responsibilities:
The intern will work
closely with the staff in the department while being exposed to the following
areas to develop their skills: –
Support Quality Assurance
in Programs and Projects
Ensure
adherence to Programme quality.
Support
in managing M&E systems (Horizon and other online systems that will
generate timely information and feedback to all stakeholders).
Review
of all Statutory reports (CWBR, National Office Annual Report, TPs and APs
Semiannual, Annual and ensure that they are timely submitted and adhere to all
applicable guidelines (LEAP)
Support
Data Quality Assessment visits to Area
Programs
with Regional M&E Coordinators and conduct field visits for data validation,
Support
level monitoring and support visits to Regional and Area Programs
Routinely verify progress results collated
from local programming areas in the Horizon platform.
Review
quality and ensure timely submission of Annual Plans including Budgets, DIPs,
ITTs and Area Programme Narratives
Provide Technical Support
in Planning, Monitoring and Data base management.
Analysis,
aggregation and synthesis of monitoring and evaluation data to draw inferences
at regional and national level.
Support
in collating monitoring data from across local
programming
areas to show progress towards the NO strategy and KPIs.
Support
technical program staff and stakeholder to develop detailed monitoring plan.
Support
sustainability and Transition Planning with the inclusion of collaboratively
developed sustainability and transition agreements with partners
Participate
in supporting assessments, baselines and evaluations.
Support Capacity Building.
Support
DMEAL in capacity building initiatives for compliance and alignment to LEAP
framework guidelines, principles and standards for WVK Programs & Projects
Support Resources
Acquisition
Provide
support in resource acquisition in liaison with RAM to ensure that they meet or
exceed the minimum M&E and donor standards.
Perform
any other duty as may be assigned by supervisor or designee from time to time.
Participate
and contribute to committees and task forces as may be signed from time to time.
Qualifications
Those eligible to apply
for graduate internship program shall be Kenyan citizens who meet the following
criteria: –
Bachelor’s
degree graduates who either are beneficiaries of child sponsorship or have
experienced the impact of WV’s community development in their homes will be
given priority.
Graduates
who show genuine desire and ability to serve among the poor in rural and semi
urban areas of Kenya.
Graduates
who are practicing Christians regardless of denomination, gender and ethnic
background.
Graduates
with demonstrated good character, honesty, high competency and generally in
good physical and emotional health.
Graduates
who are willing to commit their time on the project for the entire year.
Graduates
who have completed studies in bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Data
Science, Project Management or in any related field of study within the last 1
(one) year.
