 Key Responsibilities


  •  Supports the deputy director in financial management in co-operative societies.

  •  Prepares periodic audit reports in own area of work including basic analytical work for presentation to supervisors.

  •  Demonstrates openness in sharing informing and keeping people informed.

  •  Plans & organizes work to meet individual, team &departmental/unit objectives.

  •  Participates in the budget process for the section.

  •  Examine all books of accounts of co-operative societies in accordance the laws, rules & regulations.

  •  Ensures timely accurate economic reports for decision making.

  •  Finance & non-financial resource management.

  •  Planning & service delivery of work.

  •  Client service support and public relations.

Qualifications


  •  Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Accounting/Finance Option), Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics or Co-operative Management and Economics Or Related Field From A Recognized University

OR


  •  Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Kenya Part III or Certified Internal Auditors (CIA) Part IV or Certified Fraud Examiners from a recognized institution  Senior Management Course

  •  Knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Constitution of Kenya 2010, County Government Act of 2012 etc.

  •  Knowledge of the Cooperative Societies Act, 2012  

  • 4 years’ experience in a related area within the Public Service or Private Sector

  •  Strong Leadership, Communication, Interpersonal and Organizational skills

  •  Ability to build and lead cohesive teams

  •  Satisfies the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.

Terms of Service: Permanent & Pensionable
Salary: As set by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC)
