Job Title: Sales Manager – Air/ Sea/ Cargo

Reports to: Managing Director

Main Purpose of the job
This position is responsible for developing business from both new and existing accounts, achieve assigned revenues and performance goals, develop new business relationships through high level account contact and strong ability to close and secure business.

Main Responsibilities
* Maintain existing business
* Transition business to operations manager and staff.
* Making and developing sales calls for air and ocean depts.
* Ensuring that prospecting is followed through to completion.
* Acquiring rates from relevant airlines/shipping lines for quotations.
* Completing quotations for both new customers and our existing customer base.
* Responding to general customer enquiries.
* Ensuring that our customs service standards are met and exceeded when possible. Liaising with other offices/ departments to make sure operating procedures are maintained.
* Running management reports on sales activity.
* Reviewing shipping logs to see that customers continue to use our services.
* Assistance in the completion of tenders.

Key Competencies / Occupational Skills/ Personality Traits/ Profile
* Candidate must be familiar with INCO terms, be known to airlines & shipping lines and be able to work independently, and demonstrate an ability to secure profitable business.
* Good relations with Airlines must know the shippers, strong leadership skills, customer service skills, Sales experience needed.
* Good organizational skills, customer service skills
* Hard working, Confident, outgoing, people oriented.
* 35-40 years

Required Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with good analytical skills.
At least 5 -7 years experience in sales & marketing preferably in forwarding industry.

Remuneration
120,000 – 150Ksh.
