• Driving strategic and operational HR related planning including –Labour Relations, , Talent Management processes, Employee relations, , Compensation & Benefits, Session C, Employee Development & Performance management,
• Implement appropriate communication tools and systems to ensure effective flow of information including employee opinion surveys, leadership communication, etc.
• Implement policies and processes to support a fast-expanding organisation
• Leading and Managing HR projects and other innovative/cutting edge HR Best practices across the region.
• Developing appropriate work force plans in support of key business needs in a dynamic, changing environment and develop/implement appropriate change management plans as required.
• Ensuring all HR processes & records relative to local statutory requirements while providing guidance and leadership to the business regarding regulatory interpretation and compliance.
• Providing executive coaching to business leadership
• Serving an impartial employee advocate to ensure all individuals receive fair and equitable treatment• Kenyan Citizen or ability to live and work in Kenya without restriction
• Minimum 7 years HR generalist experience in the region, ideally HR leadership experience in a multinational organization.
• Undergraduate degree in business, Human Resources, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative and execute on assigned projects.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to influence all levels of the organisation and multicultural/multinational environments
• Demonstrated success in development & application of up-to-date practice in employee relations, HR policy & formulation, recruitment & staffing and training & development
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to influence, effective communication skills - both written and oral.
• Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment.
• Knowledge of local labour laws• Master’s degree in Business Administration or a Human Resources related field
• HR leadership in a start-up / entrepreneurial
• Previous GE HR experience and/or familiarity with GE policies, procedures, practices & programs
• Languages: Bi-lingual (English and French or Portuguese)
