Operations Officer
Summary
The purpose of this role is to carry out daily operations in order to meet company targets for growth and profitability.
Key Tasks
Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organizations mission, specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational planningManage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of support services through improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between support and business functionsPlay a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared towards operational excellenceOversee overall financial management, planning, systems and controls Oversee regular assessments and forecast of the company's financial performance against budget, financial and operational goals.Oversee short and long-term financial and managerial reporting Organizational effectivenessIncrease the effectiveness and efficiency of support services through improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between functionsDrive initiatives in the management team and organizationally that contribute to longterm operations excellenceManage the day to day operations of the companyProvide the consulting services on matters related to tax and insurance questions and business structure and growthDevelop policies, systems and procedures to improve operational efficiency and support staff to implement Organizational leadershipContribute to short and long term organizational planning and strategy as a member of the management teamPlan, staff and supervise all assigned work unit activities through managers to ensure a cohesive operational unitProvide advice, guidance and direction to subordinate executives and managers toward their professional developmentLiaise with the HR department in monitoring availability and flow of personnelCoordinate and confer with professional staff to resolve operating problems and difficulties and authorize department operational procedures within corporate framework.Serves as management team memberResponsible for maintaining good working relationships and promoting good public relations in conjunction with the project managers and techniciansRisk managementIn consultation with the HR and finance department, serve as primary liaison to legal counsel in addressing legal issues e.g., copyright, governing instruments, partnerships, licensing etc.Oversee organizational insurance policiesKnowledge and Skills Requirement
