Key duties and responsibilities
Reporting to the Regional Director, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting and building communities’ abilities to manage arid conditions through a knowledge-based approach.
In addition, s/he will perform the following roles;
Masters degrees in Agriculture Extension, Environmental Sciences. Masters degree in Development Studies with bias towards agriculture or environment.Understanding and experience of planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of people focused development projects and programs.Proven experience in writing concepts and proposalsQualifications and experience in Peer to Peer approaches and Training of Trainers (TOT) is an added advantage.Experience in development networking within civil society and between NGOs and government.A minimum of 5 years in a results oriented management position in a development focused civil society organizationAn effective team leader and team player.Good command of Office packages and Internet usage.Closing date: 7th October 2011
