Intermediate Actuarial Specialist
Reporting to the Actuarial Executive, the incumbent will be responsible for carrying out technical actuarial work, system testing, reporting, investigations and pricing oversight.

The key objectives for this position are: -Manages Thought Express production support and version release TestingResponsible for Retail reportingCarries out semantics testing and sign offResponsible for the processing of incentives and retainer and ensuring that commissions are correct and paid on timeResponsible for investigation of data investigations as directedResponsible for Investigation of Old Mutual Investment Services and Old Mutual Life Assurance Company unit pricingChecks, manipulates and analyses volumes of data and draws conclusions from the analysis.Carries out technical actuarial work and ensuring its accuracy and proper implementationTranslates actuarial concepts into client friendly language.Ensures client focus by meeting client needs, building inspiring relationships and taking responsibility for client experience.Any other duties that may be allocated by management from time to time.Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science or related fields. Masters in Actuarial Science will be an added advantagePassed a minimum of 10 Actuarial professional papersMinimum of 4 years’ experience in actuarial functionAttention to detailAbility to understand the big picture within which the business is operating, the inter – play between various components and the impact on the businessPersonal effectiveness by taking responsibility for service deliveryProficiency in advanced MS ExcelExposure to Thought Express system will be an added advantageExcellent communication and presentation skillsSelf-starter who shows initiative and is able to work with minimal supervision.
