Associate HR Consultant Job in Kenya



Vacant Position: Associate HR Consultant

HR Partner was formed with the objective of providing excellent HR Management and Administration services to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) who want to enjoy excellent HR management services without the burden of hiring a full time HR staff. 



HR Partner also offers specialized consultancy services to other entities who require high level HR consultancy to supplement their existing skills.
 



General Position Description: The Associate HR Consultant will be responsible for day to day operations of the business, strategic planning, managerial and administrative leadership of the Company as well as performing the core function of soliciting for clients and meeting their HR needs. 



S/he will be responsible for providing both on-site and off-site support to clients.
 



Accountability: The Associate Consultant will report to the Executive Director HR Partner and will supervise the staff of the Company. 




Specific Duties
 



The Associate Consultant will be tasked with numerous business development , operational tasks as well as managing the overall organizational programs.
 



Business Development Role


  • In collaboration with the Director the Associate Consultant will develop new products,

  • Coordinate activities with clients, to ensure client needs are met

  • Review existing products with a view to enhance their value to the client satisfaction


Operational Role
 



In collaboration with the Director ensure that HRP’s operations are efficiently carried including ensuring;


  • Clients service agreements are properly drawn, executed and filed

  • Timely reviews and renewal of clients contracts are carried out

  • All the infrastructure for business consultation is in place

  • Clients business processes is properly progressed and completed

  • Client schedules is developed and adhered to

  • Comprehensive documentation, proper records and archiving of clients files is maintained whether on-site or off-site

  • Client complaints and suggestions are expeditiously acted on and resolved within reasonable time

  • Maintain and update client lists, contacts and business profiles


Consulting Role
 



Provide the entire HR consulting services to the client including;


  • Conduct audit of HR and administration services to determine the existing gaps with a view to determining the overall client HR and Administration needs

  • Identify the policy and procedures needs of the client and provide support to develop new policies

  • Identify the organizational development needs and come up with structures, systems and other developmental needs to satisfy the needs

  • Proactively provide recruitment and selection services to client

  • Identify and advice client to fulfill the compliance requirements as stipulated in the current Kenyan labour laws

  • In consultation with client devise and develop Job descriptions new employment contracts and placement documents

  • In close collaboration with the client develop performance management tool suitable to each enterprise with KPIs and evaluation tools, train and implement the system

  • Carry out induction for new employees and ensure client staff on-boarding program is developed and implemented

  • Develop checklist of all the tasks and supervise HR Assistants to ensure complete and accurate records are in place for all the clients and that these records are constantly update

  • Visit clients and provide advice and support to client as agreed in the SLA

  • Administer client staff leave and ensure leave schedules are in place for regular staff of each client

  • Raise invoices to bill the client and ensure the payments are remitted on time

  • To assist the client in maintaining sound employee relation including advising them on best practices in dispute resolution, disciplinary process and appropriate settlement of issues

  • In close consultation with the client prepare and maintain client employee payroll and regularly verify before payment is made. Make necessary changes where the employees numbers change


Supervisory Role
 



The HR Consultant will provide leadership to a lean team of HR and Office Assistants through;


  • Recruitment and selection

  • Developing JDs and ensuring they understand the job expectation by developing workplans and performance metrics

  • Induct, train, coach and mentor the staff

  • Motivate and retain the staff supervised


Any other duties assigned by the Executive Director

Qualifications and Person Specification




 
The ideal candidate must be self motivated, enthusiastic, agile and innovative individual with a minimum 1 year experience in HR consultancy in addition to possessing relevant qualifications including Degree in Business related course, Diploma or Higher Diploma in HRM.
