The Brief
 

We are a member of a consortium providing Strategic Communication Support for our clients. 

We produce outreach materials such as t-shirts, mugs calendars, posters, banner, and billboards amongst a wide array of other novelty items.
 

We are looking for a part-time graphic designer to support the project by producing (design and layout) highly visual documents.
 

The consultant is expected to undertake a series of assignments whenever required and would be required to sit in the office for only 2.5 days every week on a monthly retainer.
 

Responsibilities:

• Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on client briefs


• Amend proposed design concepts according to client’s requirements


• identifies priority activities and assignments; adjusts priorities as required


• Foresees risks and allows for contingencies when planning; monitors and adjusts plans and actions as necessary

• Able to multi-task in a very busy environment, work under tight deadlines and work with minimal supervision.

Required qualifications and experience

• University degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia, Visual Arts, or in the areas of communications. Masters would be an added advantage.


• A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional working experience with in the fields of graphic design, multimedia, visual arts and communications


• Previous experiences designing highly visible products- portfolio is mandatory


• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines


• Mastery of advanced graphic design software such as: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, Serif DrawPlus


• Familiarity with HTML and CSS an added advantage
