Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company (NCWSC) was incorporated in December 2003 under the Companies Act cap 486. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nairobi City County with the main responsibility of providing and managing water and sewerage services in Nairobi, while the asset holding body, Athi Water Works Development Agency (AWWDA) is charged with the responsibility of developing key water and sewerage infrastructure.

Position Summary

Nairobi Water and Sewerage Company Limited (NWSC) currently has the following job openings: Electrical Assistants Nairobi Water 4 Positions.

This is job opening is attributed to the continued growth and a need to strengthen their team.  They are looking for self-motivated, qualified, competent, seasoned and talented professionals capable of operating in a fast paced and demanding environment.

Nairobi Water and sewerage company Limited is mandated to provide water and sanitation services within the county of Nairobi.

Broad Function

Providing support to Electrical engineers and Technicians in new and operational works to ensure that water supply and distribution systems and sewerage systems are improved & sustained at set level through optimum utilization, proper maintenance and rehabilitation of electrical equipment and instruments.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

• Supervise Electrical Engineering works while ensuring that the project matches client specifications.


• Inspection and monitoring work progress and keeping detailed records of work.


• Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance is undertaken on regular basis as assigned.


• Undertake installation, servicing and maintenance of all electrical equipment and instruments.


• Coordinate and supervise the work of Operators, Artisans and laborers.


• Liaison with KPLC in ensuring continuous power supply to boreholes, water and wastewater works pumping stations and offices.

Requirements

Academic Qualifications:

• Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from a recognized Learning Institution.

Experience:

• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar busy environment.

Skills:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
