Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital (KUTRRH) is a State Corporation registered under Legal Notice Number 4 of the State Corporations Act Cap 446 in January 2019 as a Level 6 Tertiary Hospital and is now operational offering specialized referral services. The Hospital is seeking to recruit qualified and experienced professionals on a performance-based renewable contract as follows:

GASTROENTOLOGIST – V/FT/15/2021 – 1 POST

Responsibilities

• Performing specialized diagnostic procedures like endoscopies to diagnose patients


• Managing both inpatients and outpatients with gastro-intestinal


• Consulting with other specialists, such as oncologists, in the case of


• Performing advanced GI procedures such as ERCP, stenting of esophagus, dilation of strictures


• Should be able to supervise registrars and medical students

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution


• Master of Medicine in internal medicine from a recognized institution


• Fellowship in Gastroenterology from a recognized institution


• Registration with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).


• Recognition as a specialist by the KMPDC


• Valid Practice License


• Professional Insurance Indemnity


• Proficiency in computer applications
