Job Purpose
Start Network has an incredible opportunity for an Innovation Advisor to join our team to focus on locally led innovation and system change. The role is involved in supporting Hubs, members and teams building the capabilities and practices necessary for impactful and sustainable locally led humanitarian innovation. This includes project managing initiatives, channelling financial support to hubs, coordinating, and providing innovation technical support, promoting learning, and ensuring that relationships with stakeholders are effective. This may also include providing support and advise for systems innovation and change initiatives across Start Network. The advisor role acts as an advocate for innovation and takes a user-centred and iterative design approach to ensure that support to Hubs, members and teams is flexible in meeting their needs and aligned with our vision for systems innovation and change.
Candidates must be creative thinkers and have a passion for locally led humanitarian aid. Candidates will have experience of programme management in community and innovation settings and knowledge of innovation processes, techniques and approaches, and experience in their use in different contexts. Above all we are looking for candidates who are passionate about achieving change in complex settings, who are willing to challenge and be challenged, and are collaborative by nature. Humanitarian or development sector-specific knowledge would be an advantage, along with working knowledge of a French and/or Spanish.
