Kenya Institute of Supplies Management is a national body for professionals in the practice of procurement and supplies management in Kenya. The Institute draws its mandate from the Supplies Practitioners Management Act No.17 of 2007. This Act provides the legal framework within which the Institute is established and operates as a corporate body promoting learning, development of best practices, and application of the same to the practice of procurement and supply chain management.

Job Summary:
The Planning Officer will assist on developing, implementing and reviewing
policies and strategies for planning; performance management; monitoring & evaluation and providing leadership on implementation of the Institute’s Strategic Plan.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collecting and collating statistical data;
- Implementing Institute’s strategic plan and service charter;
- Implementing Institute’s performance contract and master plan;
- Conducting corporate research, economic analysis and strategies;
- Undertaking feasibility studies and service delivery surveys; and
- Providing input in the preparation of development plans.
PERSONS SPECIFICATIONS
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: –
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields: – Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, project planning and management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Proficiency in computer applications; and
- In addition to the professional qualifications, successful candidate will be required to meet the expectations of Chapter 6 on Leadership and Integrity
