Monitoring Evaluation NGO Job Opening Kenya.

Action Network for the Disabled is a national Non-Governmental Organization
dully registered in Kenya to advance a barrier-free society fully inclusive of
persons with disabilities. We have a primary target of reaching young disabled
people across the country with our empowerment projects.

We have secured 3 years of funding from Comic Relief working in partnership
with AbleChildAfrica to work with disabled youth supporting them to take part in sports and access employment/income generation.

We are now seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to support the
development of an M+E strategy and system for this project and the other work which ANDY does.

Role Profile: Full Time
Location: Kibera Drive, Nairobi and 16th Floor Hazina Towers

Reporting to: Executive Director

Job Purpose
1) To develop an M=E plan for the programme and M+ E strategy for ANDY overall
2) To ensure that data is effectively collected and analysed as agreed with
the rest of the staff team
3) To support the Director with information and analysis of the work of ANDYand research from other relevant places which will help achieve ANDYs strategic objectives

Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Establish and implement the Regional monitoring and evaluation system
and tools for the ongoing review of ANDY projects using approved
indicators and targets, to measure progress and make recommendations
for improvement.

2. Ensure that ANDY has adequate system and storage facilities for the data
necessary to effectively monitor ANDYs work

3. Build the capacity of the staff team and Trustees and members of ANDY
to actively participate in M+E

4. Ensure regular data collection, conduct analysis of data and prepare
reports in collaboration with the rest of the staff team.

5. Support the implementation of baseline and other surveys, such as project
reviews, and mid-term and end-of-project reviews.

6. Ensure compliance with the requirements of the reporting systems for
preparing project reports as per the Donor formats/requirements.

7. Prepare for presentation and distribution to stakeholders: data, lessons
learned, best practices, and the statistical, qualitative, and anecdotal evidence.

8. Write a variety of documents and analytical reports, e.g. data summaries,
workshop reports, etc.

9. Contribute to: strategic planning, regular liaison with AbleChildAfrica and
other relevant dialogues

10. Build and maintain positive relationships with all members of staff and
partners .

11. Undertake any other reasonable duties as may be requested from time to
time.

ESSENTIAL DESIRABLE
1. Good administration and writing
1. Educated to Degree level.

6. Excellent organization and administration ability including computer literacy (word, excel etc).
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required to train / coach staff and give occasional presentations.

9. Strong analytical skills including analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data.
10.Excellent organizational and time management skills required to meet deadlines.
11.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
12. Willingness to work outside the core hours, infrequently but as needed to meet the requirements of the role, for instance to attend impromptu project meetings/workshops/seminars
