Logistics Officer
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Finance and Operations Manager, the person will be responsible for handling logistical processes of the KNCV office in Nairobi that relate to entire life cycle of goods and services, including acquisition, receiving, storage and distribution / delivery, internal allocation and final disposal; maintenance of equipments and transport management.
Specific duties
Coordinating procurement of goods and services as per laid down proceduresReceiving, storage and issue /disposal of items and commoditiesMaintaining updated and adequate store records, including an inventory of non-expendable items and propertyDocumenting and maintaining records related to procurement processesEnsuring safe custody of procurement related documents, including accountable documents such as LPOsEstablishing and maintaining an information system for purposes effective management of transport servicesManaging relationships with suppliersEnsuring transparency and accountability in all actionsAdvising the finance and operations manager on all issues related to procurement and logisticsKnowledge, skills and experience requirements:
Basic University degreePossess relevant professional certifications in purchasing and supplies, stores and logistics management (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) qualifications etc.). Knowledge of SAP (Systems, Applications and Products in data processing) Materials Management module will be an added advantageAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, for purposes of filling out forms, ordering supplies and participating and recording proceedings of procurement meetings; and other correspondencesAt least 2 years work experience in a similar role in a reputable organization;Ability to interact with others in a professional mannerComputer knowledge and skills: word processing, database management and spreadsheets packagesGood time management skillsHigh degree of integrity and honestyResults driven and team playerReceptionist
Reporting to the Finance and Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

Receiving and handling guests visiting KNCV officesMaintaining a customer-friendly reception areaOperating and maintaining telephone switchboardHandling in-coming and out-going mails, messages and parcelsHandling and maintenance of front office equipmentsAssisting finance and operations manager in making staff travel arrangementsAny other duty that may be allocated by the supervisor from time to time.Diploma in Business Administration/Management, Secretarial studies or any related field from a recognized institution.
