Finance And Accounting Jobs in Kenya. Our client is a fast growing player in the Construction and Engineering sector and is currently exploring new opportunities in the Real Estate and Telecommunication sectors.

The organization is looking to fill the position of a Head of Finance. Reporting to the Group CEO, the incumbent will be in charge of Finance and Supply Chain function at the group and will be responsible for all
financial and fiscal management aspects of company operations including overseeing the procurement and logistics unit.

• Provide leadership in financial reporting and budgeting ensuring accuracy and integrity of all financial information as well as prompt preparation of management accounts;
• Prepare, update and implement financial policies and strategic plans including CAPEX plans within the framework of the group’s overall strategic plan and provide guidance in the group’s financial and capital plan;
• Provide effective advice on all aspects of financial management and governance to the management team and the Board/CEO;
• Provide analytical and strategic support to the evaluation of new acquisitions, including analyzing financial impact on the Group, evaluating synergies and advising on transaction structuring;
• Design and implement systems and controls for monitoring and managing financial processes and procedures as well as monitor the performance of the group and ensure effective financial risk management;
• Handle cash and treasury operations at group level including analysis of accounts, cash flow, cost controls, and expenses and the provision of guidance to the subsidiaries on the same;
• Develop and implement asset and liability management policies and guidelines for the group’s capital mobilization, borrowing and investment activities;
• Prepare of annual financial statements for audit together with audit schedules and other information required by the statutory auditors;
• Lead structuring and tax efficiency planning of the group and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements;
• Maintain relationships with key third parties including the Company’s bankers, auditors, consultants, government offices, relevant associations, suppliers, customers etc.
• Develop a strong finance management structure and a competent team through hands-on training and assistance;
• Ensure procurement policies and procedures are complied with, lead the negotiation and management of supplier contracts and end-to-end tendering process. • Business degree majoring in Finance or Accounting with a professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA or CFA.
• Masters degree in Finance, Commerce or Business Administration.
• A minimum of 7 years postgraduate relevant experience with senior financial management experience with treasury, financial reporting and control, capital-raising and financial planning responsibilities.
• A professional qualification in Purchasing and Supplies Management will be an added advantage.
• Strong financial acumen and drive.
• Demonstrable leadership ability with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven capacity to manage multi-discipline and multi-national teams and to deliver success through change management.
• Experience of implementing and using advanced management information / ERP systems.
• Well developed negotiation skills and the ability to influence people positively.
