The successful candidate, reporting to the Group Finance Director and National Managing Director, will lead a large Accounts Department and be responsible for all day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, credit control, cash planning and budgetary matters.
He will be part of the senior management team and be responsible for maintaining close relationships with
banks, auditors and statutory authorities.
The company is currently enjoying considerable expansion and wishes to strengthen its accounting and administration systems by introducing a new accounting package and reviewing and revising all procedures and routines involved in the accounts process.
The candidate will be guided by the Group Finance Director in the implementation of the new systems, which has already commenced.
The successful candidate should be a qualified accountant of the utmost integrity with a management accounting background and several years of hands-on experience in a senior accounting position in a group of companies with sophisticated and timely reporting requirements.
The candidate will also develop competent commercial costings for new projects.
Experience in a security organization, accounting system change management and control of and reporting from a mid-range ERP package such as Omni Accounts will be an added advantage.
This is a senior position with personal development prospects and a commensurate remuneration package.
