We are looking for a qualified individual to fill the position of Tax Accountant

Qualifications & Competences

A University Degree in Business Accounting or CommerceACCA/CPA qualificationsAt least 5 years working experience in Tax environment in a medium to large organization dealing with corporate taxes and custom taxesThorough knowledge of Taxation Laws and of Tax processing systemsIn-depth knowledge of Customs and Excise Tax, VAT, Income Tax, and East Africa Community Customs Management ActsProactive forward thinking on analyzing Tax Laws and Tax changes and their effects on the organizationAbility to research concepts and Tax applications effectivelyAbility to advise the organization on Tax effects of all initiatives and projectsAbility to handle Corporate Tax issues, Deferred Tax, wear and tear computationsExcellent attention to detail, accuracy and proper documentationGood presentation skillsConfidentiality and high integrityAbility to work with minimum SupervisionExcellent communication skills at all levels, both internally and externallyGood business acumen, proficiency in accounting, Interpersonal skillsTime management to meet deadlines for lodging transactionsKeep update on all Tax Laws and all Tax changesSubmit VAT, PAYE, and Corporate Tax returnsFollow up and clear export and transit entriesLodge and follow up customs duty and VAT refund claimsEnsure correct procedures and documentation are submitted for importation and exportation of products and equipmentDo all Tax reconciliationDo deferred tax computations and reconciliationFollow up on Income Tax returns and paymentsBe able to update the Management on existing and on new Tax regulationsEnsure adherence to KRA Tax Regulations and requirementsLiaise with clearing agents and KRA on importation and exportation of productsBe able to manage external Audits for both KRA and financial statements AuditsIf you meet the above requirements, forward your CV and daytime contacts to hr@kenkob.co.ke
