Business Development Manager

Our client, an International well established wholesaler / grower-shipper / packer with cutting-edge facility and fast-growing fresh fruits and vegetable exporter needs seasoned salespeople with solid sales, marketing and procurement experience to join its successful marketing team.

These sales positions offer an opportunity to work directly with the farm managers to increase sales and develop grower relationships with complete corporate support.

The positions are ideal for proven salespeople with a strong desire to work in a high-energy environment that encourages personal and professional growth, and rewards sales success.

Duties: Primary responsibilities include:
? Communicating daily with retail customers, soliciting and receiving orders, and working with team members to fulfill customer orders.
? Communicating daily with suppliers and grower partners to efficiently procure product and stay current on market conditions.
? Discerning the pulse of the organics market and market trends, and communicating this knowledge to organics team members.
? Anticipating customer demand and effectively managing an organics inventory.
? Promoting our organics program to existing and potential customers and grower partners on an ongoing basis.
Professional Requirements:
? 3+ years experience working in fresh fruits and vegetables sales.
? Deep knowledge of horticulture industry.
? Deep knowledge of produce procurement and export .
? Technology capable and computer savvy.
Personality Requirements:
? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with demonstrated sales skills and positive mental outlook.
? Customer orientation and dedication to ongoing customer success.
? Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment and execute multiple purchases and sales throughout the workday.
? Detail-orientation with zero-tolerance towards paperwork and documentation errors.
? Coachability and willingness to take direction.
? Team-orientation and strong inclination to assist co-workers as required.
? Inclination towards decision-making and pro-activity in difficult situations, with demonstrated strong follow-through.
? High internal performance standards and desire to promote team success.
? Hands-on mentality and inclination to take complete ownership of assignments.

Salary and Promotion. Commensurate with experience; structured to include a base salary plus incentive compensation. Promotion will be predicated on performance with an initial review after 1 year.
