Program Officer-Agriculture

Reporting to the Director of KfW/DEG Office in Nairobi, the Program Officer-Agriculture we seek, will be based in Nairobi and will support the Program Manager, Agriculture and Natural Resources who is based in Frankfurt, Germany, in the management of KfW funded programmes in Kenya. In particular, you will be expected to:

?          Oversee the implementation of our programmes in Kenya especially in facilitating constructive dialogue and follow-up with partners and in monitoring project progress

?          Represent KfW and actively participate in and/or organize as necessary  meetings and field visits e.g. sector working groups, donor groups, technical working groups, site progress visits and missions

?          Review project related documents and reports, summarize and forward to Headquarters

?          Monitor major developments in the agricultural sector and contribute to the identification and preparation of new projects in the sector of agriculture and natural resources

?          Coordinate sector related issues with German Embassy, GIZ, local partners and other stakeholders

?          Ensure constant information exchange with HQ and close cooperation and information sharing between German agencies and other partners
