Pecten Cameroon Company, the Shell Exploration and Production Company in Cameroon is looking for a well engineer.
Reports to: Head of Well Engineering
Location: Douala
Purpose: Assist Head of Well Engineering in optimizing well delivery performance in Pecten operated fields. This includes exploration and development wells, workover operations and well interventions. Provide support in non operated fields.
Accountabilities:
? Design, plan and cost all wells making use of software platforms for well design.
? Responsible for producing Basis of Design documents, Detailed Drilling programs & Amendments.
? Embed Well Delivery Process, Drilling The Limit and Top Quartile performance.
? Seek New Technology to deliver wells in safer and efficient ways.
? Develop, Plan and implement New Technologies if required.
? Support the Drilling Supervisors in the execution of well programs.
? Monitor Well Operations on daily basis and report on progress.
? Ensure daily and weekly reports are prepared and issued on time.
? Track and report well expenditures (plan versus actual)
? Carry out Technical and HSE audits as assigned to him.
? Provide all Engineering input to well delivery in compliance with the company Well Delivery Process.
? Provide operations support, participate in operational duty roster.
? Specify and tender materials required for drilling campaign
? Train/develop local subordinates.
? Handle or support Logistics during drilling/workover operations.
? Graduate Engineer of Cameroon national with minimum of 5 years industry experience in a similar position.
? PC fluent (Drilling Engineering Software) and Microsoft suite (word, excel, PowerPoint).
? Good communicator, technically sound, good team player, high integrity.
? Possession of valid IWCF certificate will be an advantage.
