With a presence in 21 countries; 17 of which are in Africa this company is looking for innovative, energetic and dedicated candidates to join their expanding team in Kenya.The Network Specialist will perform technical work installing, operating, trouble shooting and providing Level 3 support for local and wide area networks along with Firewalls.
Managing all network components including installation, configuration and maintenanceDeveloping and maintaining network security procedures. Adding, removing, and changing authorities for network usersResolving problems reported by end users for local and wide area networks, networking equipment (switches, routers, firewalls etc.) Providing answers to complex questions related to these systemsMonitoring and measuring the performance of the network reports problems to the appropriate individualsMaintaining documentation of the network systems including network diagramsEstablishing and maintaining contact with vendors for support and problem resolutionTraining users in the use of commercial, off the shelf (COTS) software and hardwareSupervising, training and evaluating Technical AssistantsExperience and Background NeededBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science or related areaKnowledge of standard networking protocols (OSPF/BGP/RIP/IGRP) and MPLSAbility to interact with LANs and WAN vendorsKnowledge of LAN and WAN products and protocolsAbility to understand and follow complex and written instructionsNetwork Performance TuningNetwork Design and ImplementationAbility to convey complex information to others in training situationsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to manage others in a complex technical work environmentAbility to analyze and troubleshoot technical and computer-related problemsExperience in solution designingExperience in Telecom Industry and Certification in Cisco securityCertification in CCNA and CCNP/CCIP, ITIL V3 and any other higher certificationsTo apply send CVs and cover letter to careers@talentsolutionsmanagement.co.ke by Friday, 5th October 2012.
