We want to strengthen our staffing position within our School of Health Science. In particular we are looking for Lecturers, Senior Lecturers and Associate Professors in the following areas:Clinical MedicineNursingPharmacyFor appointment into this position, applicants should be holders of PhD or equivalent academic degree with;
a) At least eight (8) years of University teaching experience, four (4) of which should be at Senior Lecturer level and at least four (4) publications in refereed journals, or one book plus two (2) articles in the relevant area since becoming Senior Lecturer; or
b) Fifteen (15) years of industrial/research experience five (5) of which, should be at Senior Managerial level in the recent years, plus at least five (5) publications in refereed journals.For appointment into this position, applicants will be required to have a PhD degree or its academic equivalent in the relevant field with at least three (3) years of teaching experience in the position of a lecturer at University level and continued research as evidenced by at least three (3) publications in refereed journals.
For appointment into this position, applicants should:
a) Hold a PhD Degree or its academic equivalent in the relevant field; or
b) Hold a Masters Degree in the relevant field with at least three (3) years of University as an Assistant Lecturer and continued research as evidenced by at least two (2) publications in refereed journals(s) in the relevant area.
For all applicants for the above teaching positions, one should be registered and have current valid practicing license from respective regulatory body.
Remuneration and Terms of Employment
Appointments to the above positions will be on permanent and pensionable following a satisfactory
probation period of six (6) months. A competitive compensation package will be offered to successful candidates. In addition to teaching and academic management, successful candidates for the teaching positions will be expected to drive research, consultancy and outreach.
